The following position is open and will be filled on or before July 23, 2010. Applications and other required documents must be received at the offices of Western Eagle County Ambulance District, 0360 Eby Creek Road (POB 1809), Eagle, CO 81631 before 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010. Interested applicants must be currently certified in the State of Colorado, in good standing, and must complete and return the following documents to the attention of Christopher Montera, Chief. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all applicants.

Qualified applicants, who comply with the above listed requirements, will be invited to an oral board style interview. These interviews will be scheduled and conducted during on July 20, 2010. Post offer applicants will be required to undergo a District provided physical and background check.
Part-time Community Paramedic Coordinator
Qualified candidates must possess, at a minimum, at the time of hiring the following certifications: National Registry, Colorado EMT-B and CPR certification. Additional certifications are desirable at the Paramedic Level. A valid driver license is also required. Please see Job Description for complete list of qualifications. This position may be job shared with other part-time work at the District for a full-time equivalency at the sole discretion of the Chief.
The person filling this position will work a part-time schedule consisting of a maximum of 20 hours per week. Days of week are negotiable. A complete job description will be made available upon request or is available on our web site. Salary range is $22.39 – 27.37 DOQ. Additional per hour increase is available and based on years of paid EMS experience. This position qualifies for district retirement plan, education benefit, wellness benefit, and uniforms if necessary. THIS POSITION IS GRANT FUNDED AND FUNDING IS NOT GUARANTEED AFTER DECEMBER 31, 2011!
Responsible for daily administration, reporting, project development and marketing of new Community Paramedic program. This position will have great flexibility to create roles and responsibilities for the program and coordinator position itself. Coordinator must have medical experience, be detail oriented, work well under pressure, meet grant deadlines and reporting requirements, and understand that customer service to patient, clients and community partners is our mission. Coordinator must be able to think creatively and handle work independently with little supervision and oversight.
